At
Liberty Point, they have a new walk—they have coined it, “Data Walking”
for Success. The research data compiled from recent Benchmarks, ITBS,
Checkpoints, and SuccessMaker tests are used to modify instruction and
target discipline in the classroom.
To understand the data implications, and offset
negative results, administrators believed it was necessary for all
parties to participate in analyzing the data. In early December, parents
were provided the same information as well as avenues to increase
students’ potential for success. Also, students participated in separate
sessions to understand how the data measured is used to target their
success in learning.
Administrators believe the research data will help
them target areas that need improvement and capitalize as a school
community to help students attain higher competency levels in upcoming
CRCT tests.
