State Senate Passes HB 132

Opening Door for Referendum on Fulton Industrial Boulevard

On March 1, the Georgia State Senate passed HB 132 to allow a County-wide referendum on repealing what amounts to a local constitutional amendment that prevents Fulton Industrial Blvd from being located in any city. The bill sets the referendum for  November 2017. If passed FIB would be up for grabs unless its companion bill HB 131 which adds the industrial strip to the new City of South Fulton passes out of the Senate.
